Granville Redmond

Grenville and Chaplin. An deaf artist that worked with Chaplin on Silent films. Granville Redmond caught scarlet fever which eventually made him totally deaf.

  1. Mildred Albronda before her death in 1998 wrote a definitive book about Granville Redmond .
    The manuscript remains unpublished and is held by her son Eric Albronda. She wished that the book be given special attention and published with the true spirit of the Artist . If anyone is interested for research purposes or perhaps even publishing the manuscript please contact Eric Albronda at [email protected].
    Mildred Albronda wrote two other books about deaf Artists. Douglas Tilden. "The Man and his Legacy".
    Tilden was a sculptor. Another book was of Theopolis Hope D'Estrella, a photographer.
    All three of these special artists were classmates at The California School for the Deaf and Blind , Berkeley now Freemont Californa.
