Are the "DBC Core Members" the new deaf gods or deaf culture apostles?

I had an interesting conversation late last night with someone who related herself as a 'deaf culture soldier'. I was chastised plenty for putting DBC (Deaf Bilingual Coalition) down in my latest vlog. She went on to state that our agency is not supported by the DBC core members and we shouldn't be doing our ASL meetups because it's not authorized by the DBC core members.

This really rattled the end of my long day yesterday.

So is it going to be 'DBC Core Members begets this' and 'DBC Core Members begets that'? Are we really going to be giving them this kind of power? I think not. To give them this kind of power would create a dangerous level of extremism in the deaf community. Were not going to be giving the DBC core members the doctrinal leadership status either.

The Midwest Airlines Center management could erect barriers to prevent any interactivity much less a confrontation between AG Bell and DBC in response to DBC's militancy. The police may deny permit, the walkway between Hyatt and MAC could be closed.

What's next? The divisive 'disenrollments' from the deaf community or from deafhood? Is deafhood turning the deaf community into FLDS like heretics?

It's really up to the deaf community to decide who to follow but to be giving the DBC core members too much power like this would be extremely dangerous.

Deaf Bilingual Coalition Plans To Upstage AG Bell's Conference

See the hypocrisy in Deafread's categorization of this blog entry in the image below.

One hour since posting, 40 hits and 4 votes. This shouldn't have ended up in Extra in the first place.

The sun has set, and we got 76 visits and 13 votes and it is still in Deafread Extra. I provided valuable captioning service, I made the announcement accessible to the hearing people. And Deafread editors thanks me by keeping this blog in listed one of their gutter lines.

Marketing The Deaf Future To The Community

We market the future of the deaf society to the community. It can be exciting, fun, and challenging. The future of deaf society will be a just society free from the implications of deaf culture, whereas members will be readily interfaceable with others via technology and through medical innovations, be free from the dependency culture thats slowed down it's member's independence, and be free from the scourge and the hypervigilance over a particular communication method.

Business Mixers

Animal/Pet Expos

Children Fairs

Employment Fairs
County Picnics

County Fairs

Social Worker Fairs

Therefore marketing the future deaf society to the community can be very rewarding in terms of partnerships, collaborations, and the sponsorships.

The Sad Existence Of Domestic Violence Abuses

Yes it has to happen, plenty of evidence of gross violations of the civil liberties of men and women in the name of controlling domestic violence. I do have a problem with a court system that plays into a bitter woman's hands and allows her to continue to use restraining orders as weapons. Much of the restraining orders issued are sought by women. The domestic violence law represents all that is wrong with a prejudiced court system.

The Equal Justice Foundation aims to level the playing field in the domestic violence prevention.

Domestic violence videos are even showing up on video sharing websites like what you'll see below.

The next 4 videos made by one of my neighbors who had been stalked by a woman from Afghanistan.The shaky videos are because of his cerebral palsy condition.

Yes domestic violence exists and theres laws to prevent that however theres evidence of it being abused to settle intimate grudges as well.

We have a brochure that explains out domestic violence in greater detail.

Always Yours!

Deaf People Win Bigger Without National Association Of The Deaf's Assistance!

This blog is in response to the two blog posts announcing the $175,000 settlement for failing to provide interpreter. This is a case where a technical college didn't provide interpreter. Basicaly its a 'lack of interpreter' type of case.

The story;
School pays deaf man $175,000 settlement

Remember this videoblog post below when I complained that NAD's cheapening us with a $7,500 settlement for a similar lack of interpreter case?

The thunderous message from this fact finding post is;

Deaf People Win Bigger Without National Association Of The Deaf's Assistance!
