Lack of Help Available to Deaf, Blind

Source Link - Lack of Help Available to Deaf, Blind

A 6-year-old Kingwood girl is growing up in a world with no light and very little sound.

Lauren Daley is one of 700 deaf-blind children in Texas.

Just recently, Lauren learned to feed herself, with the help of what is called an intervener.

Lauren's parents, Paul and Caroline Daley, went to Canada to find the intervener because they say there is virtually no formal training of deaf-blind child experts in the United States.

The Daley's have established a website geared toward raising money for another intervener and for bring awareness to deaf-blind children.

The website is helplaurenlearn.net
