Accessing Eye Fire Vlogs

Due to the bot ban, access to Eye Fire Vlogs website has been greatly restricted to real human traffic. The ban is working well to preserve the availability of it's contents to interested traffic.

Unfortunately many bots saddle on IP's that are used by human traffic and we have no choice but to ban the IP that brought the bot in.

If you get a "Error 403 Forbidden" on your browser when attempting to access Eye Fire Vlogs website, don't get mad at us. Instead try accessing the Eye Fire Vlogs website using one of the proxy servers below.

Monthly Text-A-Thon Fundraisers To Be Held At Eye Fire Vlogs Website Starting September 2012

http://tinyurl.com/deaf-text-a-thon

Coming soon to a communication device already in your hand, purse, or pocket. Our monthly TEXT-A-THON fundraisers will bring you excitement.

Text based relay communication systems are heavily favored better by our society over visual based systems like video relay systems.

Bookmark this backup telethon page and like the telethon page too http://tinyurl.com/deaf-text-a-thon.

As we will have exciting text based telethon chat and sponsor offerings starting this coming September, we promise it'll be much much more exciting than the TTY-A-Thon! Why? After seeing the results of and receiving a lot of feedback from the public regarding both the TTY and Videophone telethons, we determined that the TEXT COMMUNICATIONS RULES!

A Visual Valentine for You

This short movie is another one of my experiments in visual expression. I've seen similar slide shows on the internet set to music. I chose to have no audio track for this one and to use visual effects instead to provide interest when the photos change.

Out of the Great Silence

When I hear the name Solomon Islands, beautiful imagery of white sandy beaches, blue skies, and coconut palms lining the shores fill my mind. Paradise untouched.

The “Why” of SendOutCards

My journey with SendOutCards began when my friend Ann Marie Mickelson sent me a card shortly after my dad passed away. When I opened the card, my heart literally skipped a beat.

Surgery Booked

Our one hour appointment at the hospital turned into an afternoon event. It started with Tex-Mex for the adults and a meat lover’s pizza for X, was punctuated by Starbucks and signing on multiple dotted lines, and ended with the purchase of a police vehicle set from the gift shop.

Hey Video Marketers: Caption Your Videos for the Marketing Value, Too

There is a lot of resistance (passive and active) to captioning videos online through YouTube or similar services. Some people don’t ever even consider it an option, even people who are trying to market themselves.

Is Budapest a step closer to the home of summer Deaflympics?

The news is spreading that Budapest may be the host city for the 2013 Summer Deaflympics. After much difficulty trying to secure a location for the games, maybe Budapest, Hungary will be the answer.

Tinnitus infographic: a visual guide to tinnitus

Another excellent infographic from Amplifon. 50% of sufferers find tinnitus moderately or severely distressing yet 93% haven’t consulted a doctor, wonder why that is? Maybe people don’t see a doctor because it isn’t a pain or making them feel ill?

The Salt Lake Convention 2012

I moved to Salt Lake City three and a half years ago from the Arizona/California desert area along the Colorado River. I have to admit, Utah was the last place I thought I would ever live.

WXXI Targets Deaf and Hard of Hearing Electorates

Twenty-eight million Americans with severe hearing loss do not have full access to information about political candidates and election issues. This fact is what fueled WXXI’s launch of an accessible election Web site for deaf and hard of hearing citizens.

President Hurwitz shares his dream for Gallaudet in State of the University Address

President Hurwitz drew inspiration from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in his February 7 State of the University Address, which celebrated Gallaudet's past and present and envisioned its future. Dr. Hurwitz said he chose "A Dream for Gallaudet" as the title for his presentation after a moving January 19 tribute to the late civil rights leader hosted by the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, the Black Deaf Student Union, and the Student Body Government.

New IFHOH Journal Online: For all interested in hearing...

Lots of good things in the IFHOH newsletter, as usual. [link] The need for much more inclusion of captioning (subtitling, CART, STT, steno, fast typing, palantype, velotype) is vital to mention also. This is our language too and it's missing in too many places.

Signs of Love: Want

Of course – Love starts with wanting something. Meeting someone new, wanting to know more about the other person. It is a little hard when the other person speaks a foreign language. Savonoralia: The Rape of a Poet by Seattle

Probably as a result of the hemorraghue by ghoulish attorney falling over each other to service Penis Dixon, I can no longer blog in The Chinatown Gazetteer.  If this is as I expect the case it is very typical of the situation that The Bill of Rights was finally subverted by a The Black Man.
