Ok so now I am back from a 3 month Hiatus from writing. All lot has been going on. We are still transitioning all our databases to salesforce.com, and need more volunteers to work on this project!

We have been collecting used lotto scratchers and entering the second chance drawing, so keep sending those tickets our way! Thanks to everyone working on this project, we have entered 10250 tickets into the second chance drawing!

While I'm on the subject of collecting things we need old cell phones. They are worth money! Not a lot but it helps pay for the things our clients need. So please gather up the old cellphone and printer carriages and send them our way.

We are having our annual Bowl-a-thon on March 31, 2012 at Tustin Lanes. Please go to  http://www.deafadvocacy.org/bowl-a-thon  to print out a pledge sheet and RSVP on the events Facebook page! If you are interested in sponsoring a bowler or a lane, or would like to donate door prize or raffle items please contact us.

Our first free fingerspelling workshop was a success! Our next one is April 14, 2012 at our Santa Ana, CA location and the workshop times will be:
10:00 am – 11:30 pm
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
please RSVP to  [email protected] as soon as possible to reserve your seat!

Please let us know what you think, we really like feedback. You may reply directly to this email.

Thanks for reading :)

We plan to put more videos on our new YouTube channel and have them captioned, so if you like to transcribe stuff or always wanted to caption stuff this is a great time to volunteer!

We post the latest news on our Facebook page. There you can find news from around the world as well as the latest info about what is happening at OCDAC.
