Scot singer/producer gets Chelmsford site 'Ready For The Weekend'
Calvin Harris played a triumphant show at V Festival Chelmsford this evening (August 22), despite telling the crowd he was "deaf in one ear".
The singer/producer played to a rammed Arena tent despite his ailment, creating scenes of mass dancing with hits including 'Ready For The Weekend' and 'Acceptable In The 80s'.
"I can only hear out of this ear. It's an interesting sound," the Scot told the crowd, pointing at his left ear "Ladies and gentlemen I am deaf in one ear! Deaf in one ear!"
However Harris battled through his hearing deficiency to play a euphorically-received set, with 'Ready For The Weekend', the title track of his recent second album, sending the crowd wild as they nearly drowned out the band with their singalong.
The set ended with a high-octane version of UK Number One single 'I'm Not Alone', with Harris declaring the V Festival crowd were "fantastic".
Calvin Harris played:
'Disco Heat'
'Merrymaking At My Place'
'Colours'
'Ready For The Weekend'
'You Used To Hold Me'
'Acceptable In The 80s'
'Burns Night'
'Flashback'
'The Girls'
'I'm Not Alone'
