Who Won In Milwaukee Last Weekend? AG Bell or the deaf coalition?

AG Bell won by having a smooth, seamless, rich, and wholesome conference that brought hope to the future generations of the deaf community.  They did it without any static from the deaf coalition.  This was capped by the newly elected president of the organization having a well televised interview on national TV .

The deaf coalition who were steadfast in their hatred toward AG Bell and toward people who are "not deaf enough" were successfully locked out of the venue.  Brian Riley in his "Gearing Up" editorial at the deaf coalition website emphasized confrontation and shows everyone that the coalition is of, for, and by deaf bullies.  Furthermore the conference by the deaf coalition was riddled with contradicting, conflicting, and confusing messages.  It even caused a popular deaf blogger who goes by the name of 'Mishka Zena' to state "I would like to make a recommendation that the DBC leaders work together on making the goals of DBC more consistent to the public and the media" in her blog.  The deaf coalition's hostility continues as they remain utterly unyielding at getting the AG Bell's name off one of NTID's dormitory buildings.

  1. What do you expect from Mr. Riley, he is on a one man mission to destroy the deaf community in the name of "unity" and "asl" I just hope the deaf community wakes up in time.

  2. The saddest part is that it shouldn't even be a competition. The goal should be to inform parents about all the options. If DBC actually started trying to live up to its name, it would work to inform parents about the benefits of raising their children bilingual.

Instead they are doing their level best to inform everyone that "AG Bell doesn't like ASL. We should hate them".

  3. Jack Barr. This is just one of many names you must not forget.

He might be the undoing of the DBC. He's anti-CI and DBC is
shagging him. He'll infect the supposedly wholesome message
of DBC which should be inclusive in it's bona fide bilingualism.

What a world we live in!

  4. Isn't it amazing that all of these big D deafies have a hearing shill doing their dirty work? When is Brian Riley going to be revealed to be the phony that he is?

  5. Damn, you forgot to use your favorite word 'scourge'..

    You are slipping, Richard.

  6. This question, probably truculently-spirited, should not be asked, in the first place. May this question rest in peace left alone . . .

  7. What happened was beyond the definition of scourge. And this question will be burning forever like a bright eternal flame over the heads of these sad 'prophets' that claim to be a coalition of bilingualism advocates.

  8. Richard,

Good to see you back in the deaf blogworld. Tayler is the big ass idiot for banning you. Fear not, deaf world will end up paying a dear price for him and others alike.

  9. Clearly Tayler has evolved into a puppet of deafhood and the ASL militants. His claims of being independent from them is pure hogwash. Secondly, the ASL militants and deafhood are very good at convincing wimps like Tayler. Anyways I've started a new aggregator site like deafread and I have a solid and growing fan base.

Tayler's banned others too and some of them have started or are starting their aggregator sites as well.

The best thing we can hope for now is Tayler to ban more people and we can help them start their own aggregators and pull people away from his sites.
