I'm a busy person. I have to take care of myself too. I pick up my meds from the pharmacy when I have time to waste 20 minutes at the pharmacy. Usually it happens before I run out. When I get there, several times the pharmacist would approach me with a note stating "Too Soon" which means I've come pick up my meds too early to for the insurance company to be able to reimburse them.
I came up with a surefire way to deal with the "Too Soon" syndrome. Yesterday I decided to do a little holiday shopping at the pharmacy store (Rite-Aid). And as expected with the shopping cart half filled I noticed the pharmacist started chasing me. I pushed the cart up to the cash register area and allowed the pharmacist to approach me. Again it was another "Too Soon" note and I responded out loud "In that case its too soon for me to be buying this from your store". The cashier who was also the assistant manager heard what I said and had a talk with the pharmacist and after about 5 minutes the Rx was filled and handed to me.
The customer power is stronger than the insurance company.
