Understanding Sensorineural Hearing Loss

Sometimes referred to as nerve deafness, sensorineural hearing loss is a condition that results from various disorders in the inner ear, the inner ear’s nerves heading to the brain or the brain itself. This condition usually accounts for about 99% of hearing impairments. Although it is considered as idiopathic (resulting from unknown causes), the researcher believe certain conditions may trigger it.
