Notes: the whole match lasted 2 hours 13 minutes...Yehuda Gruenfeld, a pupil of the famed Deaf School "Niv" in Tel Aviv, was the two-time National Champion of Israel among hearing in 1978 and 1990... he as a member of the Israeli Team also competed six times at the FIDE Chess Olympiad before..he has the FIDE ELO rating of 2469, which is the highest one among any deaf chess players in the world...a high-ranking representative of the Israel Chess Federation Mr. Igal Lotan attended the March 13th event...a 10-member Team Israel was selected, which will hopefully ( by obtainng the necessary funding ) participate at the coming 16th I.C.S.C. Deaf Chess Olympiad in Estoril, Portugal, June 3-13...Yehuda Gruenfeld has expressed his willigness to participate at this Deaf Chess Olympiad and 1st Deaf World Chess Blitz Championship which will take place on June 10, 2010, in Estoril.
