March 9, 2013 - Noon to 5pm.
Orange County Deaf Advocacy Center has a Bowl-a-thon event at Tustin Lanes in the city of Tustin, California.
Funds raised at this event are used in our outreach program that involves community fairs, expos, and conferences. Funds are also used to obtain resources to assist us in making life better for people with disabilities in the Southern California area.
More information at http://www.deafadvocacy. org/bowl-a-thon
Event includes a silent auction, a raffle, and a few bingo games!
Bowlers will get swag bags loaded with goodies! Non bowlers will get the option to purchase swag bags for a small donation.
We got a lot of sponsors this time and we're giving away a lot of interesting prizes! Prizes include a free weekend at a California spa resort and a Las Vegas hotel. Look at bottom of the bowlathon page for a list of sponsors!
If you can't make it to the bowlathon, would you consider making a donation instead? If so, please go to the bowlathon page and there is a link to making donations. Even though you'll see a $25 in the box, feel free to change the amount lower or higher. We can appreciate that.
Also another way to show your support for our work is to visit our webstore at http://stores.ebay.com/OCDAC-Adaptive-Equipment-and-More and you might find something you or any of your friends, associates, and relatives might need. We have almost 2500 listings and I'm sure you will find something that interests you.
Here are a few pictures of our bowlathon event in 2012
If you have any email friend group(s), please forward this email message to them and ask them to come to our bowlathon.
The Orange County Deaf Advocacy Center provides services for disabled individuals and their families in our community who need help in navigating the social services maze. Every day people go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, domestic violence, or divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, disabled individuals are at the most risk and also are the most impacted.
With the generous support of people like you, the Orange County Deaf Advocacy Center is able to help many of these families and individuals not only to meet essential daily needs, but to work toward a brighter future connecting people to programs in job training, education, counseling, elderly assistance, and temporary housing.
Thank you very much for your time to read this message from us.
