Orange County Deaf Advocacy Center Newsletter - June 19, 2011
Greetings everyone,
Our next event is at the OC Animal Cares Pet Expo at the Animal Shelter and that's happening this coming Saturday. We have a full booth there to educate people about service animals, and solicit donations in the same way we did at the Pet Expo at the fairgrounds. This event is at the Animal Shelter in Orange just across from the Block At Orange.
And finally, we are basically done putting together a very resourceful booth to be at the Orange County Fair this summer. We have the admission and parking tickets for our booth volunteers.
We're also all set for the Cypress festival food stand fundraising.
Our online store has started a sale of it's braille magazine inventory in effort to create additional space for new product that's being developed.

When the VRS fraud defendants were arrested in 2009, Magistrate Judge Arpert agreed to let them out on bail if they agreed to be supervised by Pre-Trial Services (PTS). PTS is basically like probation/parole supervision, but only for prior to sentencing.

PayPal is one super online payment system we all come to know for now. However a new company called VirtaPay is rising up using the same baby steps as PayPal. They need at least 3 million members before they can open up to the public and your help is needed. We get $10.00 for each new VirtaPay signup. New signups will be given $25.00 in start-up funds. Now isn't that a win win situation for you and our organization?
Recently they have developed a merchant system that enables members to buy and sell digital products. This is one big step toward making this a viable payment system.
