	August 28th, 2011 Newsletter Orange County Deaf Advocacy Center Health, Safety, and Productivity Hello, welcome to the new format of our weekly newsletter! We have quite a few new things in this format. Please let us know what you think. Here are some upcoming events: TTYthon – Telethon Fundraiser – Labor Day Weekend – SEPTEMBER 2-5, 2011 Don't forget our TTY-a-thon fundraiser next weekend. Start helping us by either clicking on the "like" button on that website, be a $5.00 booster, or making an early pledge. The money will be used to help us help the dozens of new deaf and disabled clients that signed up with us at the recent O C Fair. Here is a Special VIP Guest of Honor Invite for Sun. Nov. 13, 2011 to our Jazz for Peace Concert Our Oral Deaf Orange County Meetup is on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 6:00 PM Carnitas Sahuayo Restaurant - 402 West 17th Street, Santa Ana Two of our meetups are happening Friday, September 16, 2011 at 6:00 PM Carnitas Sahuayo Restaurant - 402 West 17th Street, Santa Ana The Orange County Deaf & Hearing Impaired Meetup and The Orange County American Sign Language Meetup.  Our Mainstream Bowling League is starting on Sunday Sept. 18, 2011 from 1pm to 3pm at AMF Valley View Lanes in Garden Grove, California. For more information please see our flyer. This year was another great year at the O C Fair. Richard made several videos that we have put together on a playlist you can find here. We plan to put more videos on our new channeland have them captioned, so if you like to transcribe stuff or always wanted to caption stuff this is a great time to volunteer! We post the latest news on our Facebook page. There you can find news from around the world as well as the latest info about what is happening at OCDAC. Youre Invited To Our TTYthon Telethon Fundraiser Event

We are having an online telethon, TTYthon, this coming Labor Day weekend to
raise money for social services for the hearing impaired in the Southland.

It has live video and live chat room on it.

There's several ways you can help us out.

1) Like the page if you have a Facebook account

2) Be a booster, costs only $5

3) Buy ad space minimum $200 donation
